There’s really no reason to start drinking the green stuff after you’ve been boozing all day…ouch

Memorial Day weekend tradionally marks the opening of the summer beach and pool season across the United States. We woke up this morning to a whole different Newport! Where in the HELL were all of these people hiding last weekend? The island is packed; I thought the Caribbean tourist season was busy, it’s nothing compared to this. Wendi and I spent the early part of the day walking downtown (right outside our house) and checking out the boats in the bay. I snapped a few photos:

It’s finally Friday. I don’t know exactly what it was, but this week has just sucked ass. Too many things in process and not enough things developed…it’s getting to be the story of my life! Lucky for me (and all of us) Costco Is Selling Caskets!“>Costco Is Selling Caskets! – I have no idea when that started but it kinda disturbs me.

Well, I’m off to end the week.

Well Well Well. We finally have settled into the new pad and I found my camera USB cord and am ready to make a real post with photos. I’ve been so busy with about 4 or 5 projects going on simultaneously at any given time that taking time out to post on here has been hard. Like I said, the new pad is great. We sit ON Thames Street in Newport, the hottest street to be on anywhere in the world during the summer – its one long, giant party. Here are some initial shots:

***Probably my favorite feature of the new house. A wood burning stove that greets you right when you walk in.***

***The living room. Its got two full size couches and one of them is a sleeper for all those random guests that will be sure to see us this summer.***

***The kitchen. All updated with new appliances and counters. Its really nice and simple.***

***Our seedy stairs to the upstairs. They are old and steep, I love em.***

***My new homemade desk. I wanted a tall desk that i could use a drafting chair with so I made the perfect one. Its 38″ high and works fantastic.***

Those are some of the first shots Ive taken. We also have two other bedrooms that look bedrooms, so nothing fancy. PLENTY of room for guests!!! See you this summer!
